TNS: Ad spending to fall in Q4, with exceptions

Advertiser spending will continue its "double-digit decline" through the fourth quarter, according to TNS Media Intelligence, but a few retailers and auto firms are still pushing for a strong holiday shopping season. Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Gap advertised early and often this holiday season, while U.S. auto makers increased their ad buys to promote year-end sales.
