Youths need vigorous exercise to avoid excess weight

Sitting around, by itself, doesn't appear to play a major role in affecting children's weight, British researchers said. While children should be encouraged to limit their sedentary time, this alone won't curb childhood obesity, researchers said. More vigorous exercise was tied to a bigger reduction in waist size than moderate exercise.
