Commercial landlords rush to beat solar tax credit deadline

A Treasury grant program that provides a 30% tax credit to commercial landowners and landlords to help them meet the cost of solar installations expires Dec. 31. As a result, the surge in last-minute demand has outstripped supply for some types of equipment. Industry players say they expect demand for solar arrays to fall drastically if the tax credit program is not extended.
