Groups, states work to give nurses a greater role in health care

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is working with the AARP and five states to advance recommendations from the Institute of Medicine that would give advanced practice nurses greater roles and more control in health care. Nursing leaders in a two-day conference this week will tackle ways to implement the recommendations nationwide.
