NBCT: How to ease competition among teachers

National Board Certified Teacher Bill Ferriter suggests ways in which teachers can be supportive rather than competitive. Ferriter recommends teachers find role models in practices, not people. "When your team stops talking about teachers and starts talking about teaching -- or more accurately, student learning -- you'll begin to erase the competition and defensiveness that is destroying your collaborative work," he writes.
