Next year, 6 health IT skills bound to take spotlight

The push to adopt health IT is driving the demand for IT experts, Guillermo Moreno of Experis Healthcare, a recruiting firm, said. Moreno identified the six most in-demand health IT skills for next year, which are: expertise in 5010 implementation or in the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th Revision, also known as ICD-10; electronic health record, or EHR, deployment skills; software knowledge; security and regulatory compliance experience; data management ability; and business intelligence and data analytics expertise.
