Teachers in Tenn. county preview latest classroom technology

Educators in Tennessee's Sumner County schools on Nov. 28 previewed new technology that soon may be used in their classrooms. Teachers learned how to use interactive devices such as SMART Tables to take students on virtual field trips, and the ActivExpression learning-response tool to garner immediate feedback from students. Special-education teacher Kathy Belote noted the potential usefulness of 3D SMART Board software that allows students to participate in simulated animal dissections.
