Experts review foods that promote digestive health

Foods such as fiber that are good for digestion generally make the process easier, says registered dietitian Kristi King of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Good choices include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, water, ginger and yogurt. The worst choices are spicy or high-fat foods, caffeine, soda, alcohol and dairy.
