Helicopter firms prepare for anticipated demand in China

The Eurocopter Group is preparing to push sales in China as the country's low-altitude space is opened up a move expected to increase demand for helicopters to be used in public safety, fire protection and business. The company currently controls 40% of China's civil helicopter market share -- that means 130 helicopters. A French-German-Spanish consortium anticipates expanding its fleet in China to some 500 aircraft by 2015.
