House GOP criticizes TSA for not attending security hearing

The Transportation Security Administration is under fire from Republicans in the House of Representatives after TSA Administrator John Pistole opted not to attend a committee hearing on the TSA's impact on commerce. Pistole argues that the TSA does not fall under the committee's jurisdiction, but his absence from the hearing was "not acceptable," according to Rep. Tom Petri, R-Wis., chairman of the Aviation Subcommittee of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, which held the hearing.
