Commission clears way for San Diego Convention Center hotel

San Diego's Port Commission has cleared a final obstacle to allow developers to move ahead with construction of a 1,200-room hotel to complement the San Diego Convention Center. Developers building the Hilton San Diego Convention Center hotel plan to obtain financing for the $334 million project and, if successful, they will break ground on the project in the spring.
