36 Ohio school districts paying for data

Ohio school districts are paying a private company for data on the effectiveness of their teachers because the state does not release that type of information. The company, Battelle for Kids, tracks student progress in math, science, social studies and reading to offer classroom-level data to teachers and administrators, who say the information is used to highlight teaching success and improve teacher training.
