NSN shows advanced LTE tech to boost "edge" service

Nokia Siemens Networks has demonstrated at its German labs "relaying" technology designed to boost signals on the outer-most edges of LTE-advanced cell networks, the company said. NSN said the technology did not require new backhaul equipment and thus was relatively inexpensive and easy to deploy, adding that carriers could integrate the system into everyday base-station platforms.
