Falling prices on solid-state drives are increasing choices

The cost of battery-conserving solid-state drives is falling to the point that consumers are taking notice. But while an SSD could mean shorter boot-up times and faster access to data, the extra speed isn't always justified when a 1TB SSD still costs $3,000, Patrick Miller writes.
