Size of San Diego convention center hotel considered

Planners and developers mulling a major hotel as part of an expansion to the San Diego Convention Center say that although a 250-room hotel is possible, a 500-room hotel would be more appropriate for a convention center. Developers noted that a Ritz-Carlton flag would be ideal if the hotel was smaller, but a 500-room hotel would offer a better return on investment for the chain.
