Pilots for US Airways are asking the Justice Department to probe a deal for swapping takeoff and landing slots with Delta Air Lines. Under the plan, Delta would pick up slots at New York LaGuardia, while US Airways would gain at Washington National. "We are extremely concerned about the market concentration that this transaction would create if it is allowed to be consummated," says Mike Cleary, president of the US Airline Pilots Association. Delta's pilots support the slot-exchange plan.
