Why your open innovation program isn't working

Does your company use open innovation? If so, it's probably doing it wrong, writes Stefan Lindegaard. Only about 10% of companies really get significant benefits from outside innovation programs, Lindegaard asserts -- the rest either fail to engage productively with outside partners, or fail to put external expertise to good use. "Many companies mess up," Lindegaard says. "Open innovation is by no means easy."
