Why you're not fooling anyone with social media

Researchers at the University of Texas have matched Facebook profiles to personality tests, discovering that users' true personalities tend to come through on social sites more clearly than any idealized self they may be trying to portray. If the idea of unconsciously showing customers the real you makes you uncomfortable, you're be better off not having a profile, Kit Eaton suggests.
