Houston landscaper enters firewood business to profit from drought

A landscaping company in Houston has ventured into the firewood business after a lack of rain in the area killed many trees. The firm is paid by its clients to remove the dead trees, which the company then turns into firewood to sell. "This is the opportunity we have when we’re taking a lot of hardwood trees down, and we’re going ahead and seizing the opportunity and expanding that service to our customers," said Matt Hancock, vice president of the Embark Tree and Landscape Services.
