Senate committee scheduled to review doc fix legislation

The Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to review a measure that would repeal the sustainable growth rate formula used for physician reimbursement under Medicare. Sens. Max Baucus, D-Mont., and Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, have worked with the House Ways and Means Committee to develop a framework for permanently repealing the SGR and introducing a value-based approach. The session is set for Dec. 12.
