PC Pitstop continues fight against Gator adware

PC Pitstop, which scans computers for viruses, plans to launch a new site on Thursday attacking the Gator software, a so-called adware that monitors computers' activity to steer them toward targeted ads. PC Pitstop and Claria, the new name of the company that owns Gator, recently settled a libel suit after PC Pitstop had referred to Gator as "spyware."
