Dell consolidates ad, marketing account with WPP

The WPP Group has won Dell's worldwide advertising and marketing business, valued at $1.5 billion annually. besting the Interpublic Group after a review that lasted seven months. WPP will form a new unit that will oversee consumer research and creative tasks for the account, which is expected to launch within three to six months with about 1,000 staffers.
