Distributors seek change to Michigan bottle-deposit law

Distributors in Michigan are calling for changes to a bottle-deposit law that allows people to collect money for bottles from other states because the machines can't tell the difference. The estimated $13 million cost of illegal returns is borne by beer and carbonated-beverage distributors.
