MySpace chief: It's a great time to buy startups

Although News Corp. unit MySpace isn't working on any specific deals, the social network does see opportunity to acquire Web 2.0 startups that are worth much less now than six months ago because of the economic downturn, MySpace CEO Chris DeWolfe said, via videoconference, at the Reuters Media Summit. But microblog Twitter, which reportedly was in talks to become part of Facebook, is not on MySpace's wish list, DeWolfe said.
