UAL to issue millions of new shares

Shares of UAL Corp., the parent company of United Airlines, slid more than 20% Monday on news that it intends to issue up to $200 million in new shares. UAL needs hundreds of millions of dollars in collateral to balance its fuel hedging contracts, according to the Chicago Tribune.
