Ahmadinejad says sanctions cannot hurt Iran

Taking a more intransigent tack toward the international debate over Iran's nuclear program, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said sanctions would not deter its development and that Iran was not obligated to inform the International Atomic Energy Agency of its plans to build new nuclear plants. Ahmadinejad said Iran could produce its own oil within a week if oil imports were cut off by Western powers.
