California faces limited water supply in 2010, officials say

California's water system will supply only 5% of the volume of water requested by the state's cities and farms in 2010, according to the system's operators. The estimate may be revised upward, but officials say the state's drought will push supplies down far below average levels next year. Officials also stress that conservation is the most effective tool for easing the state's water shortage.
