Critics schedule meeting on planned expansion of FPL nuclear plant

Environmental groups have scheduled discussions next week against Florida Power & Light's proposal to construct two reactors at its Turkey Point facility. While FPL contends that the reactors are needed to meet the rising energy demand, Steve Showen of the Citizens Aligned for Safe Energy said his group is concerned about the expenses related to construction as well as safety issues at some facilities.
