Increased bookings spur optimism in South Florida

As its peak winter season gets under way, South Florida is finally beginning to see a pickup in demand after a long slump. Although PKF Hospitality Research predicts that room revenue in the Miami-Dade area will decline 6% in 2010 after dropping 23% in 2009, bookings increased slightly between July and October, and experts say the market has definitely turned a corner.
