Proposed biogas refinery in Iowa to partner with Valero ethanol plant

Minnesota-based Midwest Biogas said it plans to build a biogas facility next to Valero's ethanol plant in Albert City, Iowa. The biogas plant, which is expected to break ground no sooner than March, would utilize byproducts from the ethanol facility and egg producer Rembrandt Enterprises. The biorefinery will produce electricity and fertilizer, as well as natural gas to sell to Valero.
