Senate Democrats become more optimistic on health care bill

Democratic leaders in the Senate said they are growing more confident of passing legislation overhauling the U.S. health care system before Christmas. It increasingly looks as if the fate of the legislation is in the hands of centrist Democrats, who appeared reassured by a favorable report from the Congressional Budget Office. The report discounts a claim from the insurance industry that the legislation would add thousand of dollars to families' health insurance bills.
