Texas Interstate project may benefit from extra bond funds

Leftover Texas bond funds could help accelerate a plan to rebuild the Interstate 35W/Loop 820 interchange in Fort Worth. Officials hope to use part of about $381 million in remaining Proposition 14 bond funds on the project, which also includes adding toll lanes. The funds are available because bids on state road work have come in below estimates.
