Winfrey's OWN network will focus on self-discovery

Oprah Winfrey will "have a significant presence" on her Oprah Winfrey Network when it launches in January 2011, but not in the form of a daily talk show, network CEO Christina Norman said. OWN will take over the Discovery Health slot with programming focusing on self-discovery and Winfrey's message of empowerment, Norman said. The network is expected to repurpose some of the notable interviews from Winfrey's talk show archives and look for movies and programming that fit the self-discovery theme.
