Is green construction getting too complicated?

Spurred on by the evolving LEED certification system, green builders are incorporating ever-more sophisticated energy-saving measures into their designs -- but that's not necessarily a good thing, writes Dan Heinfeld. Given the state of the economy and of the construction industry, he argues, designers need to focus on low-cost, easy-to-implement measures if they want green building principles to have a lasting impact.
