Survey shows mixed feelings on resident work hour changes

A survey of medical residents found 51% expect to have a better quality of life when new work hour restrictions take effect in 2011. The report in the New England Journal of Medicine said 33% believe quality of patient care will be positively affected by the reduction in hours, while 41% said it would have a negative effect.
