270 tons of ballast removed during Fla. roof replacement project

A roof replacement project at the Bay County jail in Florida has removed 270 tons of ballast from the facility's rubber roof. The rubber coating on the roof has deteriorated and the roof is leaking. The new roof on the building will have a Fibertite roofing system, which is expected to have a 20-year life span.
