Cracks in concrete pontoons on Seattle floating bridge mapped

Divers and engineers have mapped cracks found in Pontoon W, one of six concrete pontoons for the SR 520 floating bridge in Seattle that were exposed to incorrect drying temperatures. Although half the cracks are wider than 0.006 inch -- the Washington state Department of Transportation standard -- John Reilly, chairman of the project's expert-review committee, is not concerned. "Once you seal it, it's stable," Reilly said.
