Airlines for America took its "No New Taxes" message directly to members of Congress and travelers as they returned from the Thanksgiving holiday through DCA. A4A distributed air sickness bags that read: "Are high taxes on air travel making you sick? Fasten your seat belt because Washington wants you to pay even more." A4A said it launched the campaign "to encourage travelers to visit the 'Stop Air Tax Now' website and contact Congress and the Administration about their opposition to increased air taxes as part of any budget agreement." A4A Senior Vice President Sean Kennedy said the prospects for TSA passenger tax increase were "painfully real" and that there was a strong chance this unjustified tax on air travel would be included if Congress reaches a budget deal.
