Craft tea gains new ground

Much like its predecessors in the beer and coffee markets, craft tea is gaining momentum as consumers begin to appreciate its artisanal aspects. Small, local tea shops are opening across the country, and coffee giant Starbucks recently got into the business with its Teavana tea shops. In Minneapolis, customers at Verdant Tea can order wine-style flights of tea, kombucha poured from a beer tap and tea shots.
