Fla. bill seeks to regulate vacation rentals

A bill in Florida would allow local governments to regulate vacation rentals, a move that follows complaints by the Hammock Beach Club Condominium Association that some rental units are packing as many as 24 people into a home. "Many of the homeowners actually live out of state, so they don't even have that connection to the community," says Sen. John Thrasher, a co-sponsor of the bill.
