Ind. lawmaker to introduce bill to require reporting of NAS

Indiana state Sen. Vaneta Becker, R-Evansville, said she will introduce legislation requiring medical professionals to report to the State Board of Health cases of neonatal abstinence syndrome. Indiana Perinatal Network executive director Larry Humbert said reporting NAS cases would help his group develop solutions but ultimately more care is needed for women during pregnancy.
