Mich. students blend courses in Big History Project

Ninth-grade students from Northville High School in Michigan are surveying key events in history by studying science and other subjects during the Big History Project, a history course offered nationwide and backed by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. The curriculum covers eight key points in history, from the Big Bang to the modern revolution, and aims to help students learn across all subjects. "They get to start thinking about: How does science impact history? How does religion impact history? It helps them put things together," said history teacher Joseph Cislo.
