Poll: Patients with chronic disease use Internet to investigate health

Patients with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and other chronic conditions are more likely than those without a chronic disease to search the Internet for condition and treatment information or for information about specific symptoms or diagnoses, a Decision Resources poll found. Few baby boomers polled want preventive care resources, but they are likely to value text messages reminding them to take their medications and live, online nurse support, the poll found.
