Workers' comp rates in N.J. are set to rise 3.6% on average next year

Workers' compensation rates in New Jersey will rise by an average of 3.6% beginning Jan. 1, according to the New Jersey Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau. The increase has gained the approval of the commissioner of banking and insurance, and it is partly the result of an expected increase in workers' comp benefits, the bureau said in a statement.
