Investors look to reports on retail sales, job market

Although many on Wall Street are confident that the Federal Reserve will lower interest rates at its Dec. 11 meeting, it may not be enough if the economy appears to be slowing down. Investors are awaiting data on the job market, retail sales, manufacturing and service sectors to determine how the housing market is affecting the U.S. economy.
