Attacks hurt luxury-goods industry in India

The Taj Mahal Palace hotel is the most sought-after retail address for luxury-goods companies trying to reach India's growing affluent class. Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Bulgari have boutiques in the hotel, which became the focal point of last week's attacks. The violence has hit the country's luxury-goods industry and threatens to curb the once-thriving growth. However, most experts are not expecting the attacks to have a long-term effect.
