Asian firm to purchase Friendster

Friendster, the seven-year-old social-networking site that was blown out of the water in the U.S. by MySpace and Facebook, will reportedly be sold for more than $100 million this month to an Asian firm. More than half of the site's 100 million accounts are registered in Asia.
