Dallas to resume bridge construction over Trinity River levees

The Army Corps of Engineers gave Dallas city officials the green light to continue the construction of a bridge over the Trinity River after the agency found the structure's approaches would not weaken the city's flood-control system. But the city government still needs to repair and upgrade the levees along the river to mitigate the risk of catastrophic flooding, the agency said.
