Lawmaker: Senate still far from reaching compromise climate bill

Sen. Joseph Lieberman, I-Conn., said more work needs to be done before climate-change negotiators in the Senate could begin drafting a compromise bill. The lawmaker has teamed with Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., in an attempt to craft a measure that could gain the support needed to pass. At least two Senate panels have yet to complete their work, he said, and until then, a compromise measure would not be drafted.
