Researchers: Add lutein to sausage to improve eye health

Sausage is an effective carrier of lutein, a carotenoid linked to eye health benefits, researchers say. A study found that 30% of the lutein added to sausages was absorbed by the body, "a higher percentage than has been reported for fruits and vegetables under the same simulated conditions."
